Who can become a Learner Rep and what do they do?

Anybody who is employed and enthusiastic about learning can beome a Learner Rep.

In their role as a Learner Rep they will:

• Work enthusiastically with colleagues to encourage their participation in lifelong learning.
• Promote the benefits of learning generally.
• Motivate colleagues toward personal or vocational opportunities.
• Understand learning styles and recognise how these contribute to a good learning experience.
• Signpost colleagues to information, advice and guidance.
• Keep up to date with local learning opportunities.
• Provide support for less confident colleagues.
