Who can become a Learner Rep and what do they do?
Anybody who is employed and enthusiastic about learning can beome a Learner Rep.
In their role as a Learner Rep they will:
- Work enthusiastically with colleagues to encourage their participation in lifelong learning.
- Promote the benefits of learning generally.
- Motivate colleagues toward personal or vocational opportunities.
- Understand learning styles and recognise how these contribute to a good learning experience.
- Signpost colleagues to information, advice and guidance.
- Keep up to date with local learning opportunities.
- Provide support for less confident colleagues.
