Aspire Learning and development has worked within the Government Funded Learning arena for over 30 years. Our expertise supports those delivering apprenticeship training to thrive. As well as facilitating a local network of learning providers, we offer the wrap around support to upskill and develop the learning delivery teams that provide curriculum learning to ensure that they are confident and professional in their role. Areas of support offered include key account management, mentor training, consultative sales and business development, networking and collaboration and strategic development.
The Association of Learning Providers for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight (ALPHI) provides support, information and staff development for Independent Training Providers, Further Education Colleges and Universities delivering apprenticeships and traineeships in Hampshire and Isle of Wight. Aspire Learning has fulfilled the role of network manager for ALPHI for more than 10 years. We support the ALPHI management group with all aspects of network administration, organising & delivering network & management meetings and ensuring that members are updated with key local and national developments in government funded learning.
Aspire Learning is managing the delivery of the ASK Programme in Hampshire & the Isle of Wight on behalf of the ALPHI Network. The ASK Programme is designed to raise awareness about apprenticeships and the opportunities that they offer among students and their influencers (staff, parents & carers). Our team are delivering information raising presentations and workshops to KS4 & 5 students. In normal circumstances these would be done on visits to schools but at the moment we are delivering remotely into school and to students in their homes.
Aspire Learning has been working closely with the Department for Education through the Strategic Development Network to help develop and roll-out the new T Level qualifications. This included creating resources, hosting webinars and focus groups and running workshops. The support available is designed to enable employers to consider T Levels and gain support with every stage of the journey towards hosting industry placements.
The Aspire expertise has been particularly around developing workplace mentors, defining appropriate placement models, helping to plan effective and useful placement activities that add value to both the student and the employer and planning support incorporating COVID restrictions.
